Ökobilanz und ökologischer Fußabdruck

Die Ökobilanz fasst alle umwelttechnischen Auswirkungen eines Produktes zusammen. Dies umfasst die Rohstoffgewinnung, die Produktion, die Verwendung und die Entsorgung. Die Erstellung einer Ökobilanz dient Vergleichszwecken (X ist besser als Y) und als Entscheidungsgrundlage. Und ist sogar in einer Norm geregelt, der ISO 14040. Manche rechnen auch in CO2-Verbrauch. Für den eigenen ökologischen Fußabdruck gibt es mehrere Selbstberechnungsseiten im Internet: probiert man mehrere hintereinander, hat man auch mehrere Ergebnisse und auch andere Vergleichswerte. Auch hier ist die Komplexität einer wirklich differenzierten Berechnung für mich einfach zu groß.

Akzeptieren wir, dass die Welt komplex ist. Informieren wir uns aufmerksam und aus vertrauenswürdigen Quellen und vertrauen auf unseren Hausverstand. Erwarten wir nicht, dass es die eine, einfache Zahl oder Aussage gibt, die einfach „richtig“ ist.
